We booked a Deluxe room. Hanoi is noisy, but with the airconditioning on the noise was not a real problem. Nice room. No buffet for breakfast. Good location. Excellent service. E.g. In the evening after we checked out,we could use a room to take a shower before we left for the train to Sapa.
The staff were really friendly and helpful even though some spoke very little English.
I would have liked the breakfast to be a it more varied and substantial.
The central location of the hotel and the fact the room had a DVD player and computer for free internet access. Also, the staff were fantastic, really helpful and always smiling.
The fact that you had to have breakfast next to the reception area and that there was no kind of buffet.
It could have been pretty good but, the staff isn't trained to run such an hotel. They couldn't speak any english but that's not a real problem. We had to pay up front. But we refused because that's not how bookings tru Booked.net work. They forgot to pick us up at the airport, even after we had reconfirmed this. We also booked a Ha Long bay cruise, but somebody from the staff changed it without telling us. Luckely we double checked it the evening before we would have gone. Eventually we got on the boat we wanted to go on. When we left they charged 10% tax over the cruise while it explicit in the brochure that tax was included in the price. And we wanted to pay with creditcard they wanted to charge an additional 5%.We eventually payed cash
The staff were extremely helpful and professional, and I liked having breakfast and free Internet included as part of my booking.
The staff were so helpful and this was a huge factor. Also the car meeting at the airport for $ US 15 was great. Free fruit and drinks all day was generous.
The first night we arrived late and were allocated an inside room, very dismal and 'airless', when we complained the next morning, they moved us to another hotel with a balcony and windows....so again the staff bent over backwards to ensure we were happy. The breakfast could offer a croissant basket with jam.....otherwise breakfast was good.
Friendly staff and very good location- almost in the city center. Clean rooms and looking like new.
Good location, only a 10 min walk from the Old Quarter. We booked a 3 days trip to Halong Bay and Cat Ba from this Hotel which was excellent, and cheaper than other agencies in the old quarter ($115, 3 days / 2 nights per person)
Central location near old quarter - nice people
Quite noisy (even on 5th floor) as simple windows - deceiving room pictures on website vs reality
All of the staff members were great fun and extremely helpful
Facilities and activities stated misleading. Views not as shown.
Quality, efficiency and friendliness of staff. The transfer request and the driver asked to Hue and Hoi An were excellent.
The building, the reception and rooms are not in agreement with the images from the internet. The rooms are dark and some have no window. Breakfast is very weak and is served at the hotel reception. Employees of nighttime sleep all night on the couches that are in the hotel reception.
The room was huge and clean, with functioning air conditioning which is essential for tropical weather. The hotel is situated 10 minutes walking distance from the old town, which provides a good starting point for exploring the city Hanoi. The breakfast was good too. Hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful although they spoke little English. But we managed to get all the information we want.
The staff offered us a more expensive Ha Long Bay tour despite us stating we had limited budget, when another (more economical) tour was also available.
The rooms are nicely decorated and very modern. They have also installed a desktop in every room with speedy internet access all free of charge, even printing is free at the main reception computer which is excellent.
The location of the hotel is terrible, its in the middle busy street with bike workshops and other small and noisy workshops around. I had to choose a room with no windows just so I could sleep at night. Also, the hotel has no good views so don't expect to be looking out of your window for long!
We enjoyed the free internet and the dvd player the most. Also the location in the old quarters was ok. Price/quality is good though.
The staff spoke just a little English. We booked a babycot and they didn't have one, but we got a free night in return so that was nice. The window didn't close so we could hear and smell the traffic outside. The breakfast menu is very poor.
The staff was friendly and welcomig. However, at night you can see them sleeping on the sofa in lobby. Location is not bad, it has a 15 minutes walking distance to the center of Old City.
The room was without any window. The electricity is shut down when you are out and you could always have to warn the staff to open the electricity in you dark room although they see you are in. To see sleeping staff at the reception desk is alittle bit annoying. Over all, in my point of view, price does not cover the performance.
